What is PDF page extraction?
PDF page extraction means selecting a specific subset of pages from an existing PDF and saving those pages as a new, separate PDF file. The original document is not modified — you get a new file containing only the pages you selected.
This is different from splitting, which divides a document at fixed points. Extraction lets you cherry-pick non-contiguous pages — for example, pages 1, 5, 7-9, and 15 from a 30-page document — without affecting the original.
Common use cases include extracting a specific chapter from a large report, pulling out a cover page and executive summary to share separately, keeping only the pages relevant to a client, or isolating a receipt or certificate from a bundle of scanned documents.
